TRP Glazing

Skylights

Flood your home with natural light from above

Nothing transforms a room like light from above — a skylight delivers up to twice the daylight of a same-sized vertical window, straight into the heart of the room. We supply and fit skylights, rooflights and flat-roof glazing across Chichester and West Sussex, and we replace failed or damaged skylight glass in existing roof windows too.

From pitched-roof windows in a loft conversion to frameless-look flat rooflights over a kitchen extension, we'll help you choose the right unit for the roof, handle the glazing specification — self-cleaning, solar-control, obscure — and fit it properly, weathertight and insulated.

Energy efficiency
Double / triple glazed

Modern skylights are insulated units in thermally broken frames — a world away from leaky old roof lights. Solar-control coatings keep south-facing rooms comfortable in summer, while low-E glass holds the warmth in winter.

Security

Engineered to protect

Overhead glazing has to be safe by design: we specify toughened outer panes with laminated inner panes, so even in the worst case glass stays held in the frame rather than falling into the room.

Customisation

Tailored to you

Choose fixed or opening, manual or electric with rain sensors, and the right glass for the room below. Replacing tired glass in an existing skylight? We can usually re-glaze the unit you have, matching size and specification.

Ideal for

Who this suits

Kitchen extensions, loft conversions and dark hallways and bathrooms across Chichester and West Sussex — and anyone with a failed, misted or cracked skylight that needs new glass rather than a whole new window.

Our process

How we do it

We survey the roof, specify the unit and glazing, and install with the correct flashings and insulation. Replacement skylight glass is usually a quick, tidy job — measured on one visit, fitted on the next.

Common questions

Frequently asked

Can you replace just the glass in my skylight? +
Very often, yes. Misted, cracked or leaking skylight glass can usually be replaced with a new insulated unit made to fit your existing frame — much cheaper than a new roof window, and no disturbance to the flashings or plaster.
Do skylights make rooms too hot in summer? +
Not with the right glass. Solar-control coatings reflect a large share of the sun's heat while letting the light through, and opening or vented units let warm air escape. We'll spec the glazing to suit the room's orientation.
Do you offer a supply-only service? +
Yes. Plenty of our customers are trade fitters, kitchen and bathroom installers, joiners and confident DIYers. We cut and process glass at our Chichester workshop for you to collect — often while you wait for simple cuts — or we can deliver locally. Bring your sizes or a template and we'll do the rest.
Are your quotes really free? +
Completely. Tell us what you need — sizes, photos or just a rough idea — and we'll give you a clear, no-obligation price. No pressure and no hard sell, ever. Call 01243 530 520 or use the contact form.
Who does the fitting? +
Our own team. TRP Glazing is a family-run business with over 40 years of experience — the people who measure and make your glass are the same friendly faces who fit it, so nothing gets lost between survey and installation.
Which areas do you cover? +
We're based at 89 Oving Road in Chichester and work right across the area — Bognor Regis, Selsey, the Witterings, Emsworth, Havant, Portsmouth, Arundel, Littlehampton, Midhurst, Petworth, Worthing and the surrounding towns and villages. For larger projects we regularly travel further across Sussex, Hampshire and Surrey.
